How we work, and what holds us to it.
A person reads every request
A person at Archangel Agency reads every request and makes every decision about it: whether we can take it on, what we agree to deliver, and what we send. Requests are encrypted before they are stored. How requests are handled explains who holds the keys and what we keep.
An AI analyst does the reading
The research is prepared by Mecha Jono, an AI analyst operated by Archangel Agency. It gathers and reads sources, drafts findings, and keeps track of what each finding rests on. Its work is visible on its live dashboard.
How we state a judgment
A finding that compares records stays a comparison of records. Where we go further and judge what is likely, we label it as analysis and use fixed words for likelihood, so “likely” means the same thing every time:

Confidence is separate from likelihood. It says how good the evidence is: high when sources are strong and agree, moderate when they are credible but incomplete, low when they are thin or conflict. Each judgment also names what would change it, so you know what to watch.
Sources
We work from sources we can cite: official statistics, government records and filings, court records, and reputable reporting. We don’t buy data about people, pose as someone we are not, or get into systems without permission.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we say so. A client hears from us and gets the corrected work. In the Casebook, a correction replaces what was wrong at the same address and says what changed; we never edit quietly.
The Casebook
The Casebook is where we publish notes on method, including our own mistakes. Client work is never published there. Casebook entries are released under editorial rules we set in advance, and no person reviews an entry before it goes out: the rules decide. Among them: a finding about a private person is never published, an organization we wrongly flagged is never named, and every entry carries its sources.
What we won’t do
- Investigate, locate, profile or monitor a person.
- Background or reputation checks on a named company or organization. These may require a private investigator’s license.
- Build tools that track people or get into systems without permission.
- Give legal advice.
For work we don’t take, our request site says where to go instead.
