Program Overview
The Spring Basic Training Internship Program at Arch Angel Agency is designed to provide interns with a comprehensive introduction to the agency’s operations, mission, and values. As the entry-level program for all new interns, this training lays the foundation for further specialization in subsequent internship programs. Throughout the course of this program, interns will be exposed to the fundamentals of various operational divisions, including Cyber Ops, Dev Ops, Hero Ops, Tech Ops, Psi Ops, and Med Ops. The focus is on developing essential skills, understanding the agency’s structure, and preparing interns for more advanced roles in the agency.
Key Learning Areas
1. Introduction to Arch Angel Agency
- Agency Mission and Values: Learn about the core mission of Arch Angel Agency, which focuses on protecting civilian infrastructure, defending personal freedoms, and responding to global threats. Interns will explore the agency’s commitment to innovation, integrity, and service.
- Overview of Divisions: Gain a basic understanding of the six operational divisions—Cyber Ops, Dev Ops, Hero Ops, Tech Ops, Psi Ops, and Med Ops. Interns will be introduced to the roles and responsibilities of each division, as well as how they collaborate to achieve the agency’s mission.
- Agency History and Achievements: Review the history of Arch Angel Agency, including key milestones, past missions, and significant achievements that have shaped the organization.
2. Essential Skills Development
- Communication and Collaboration: Develop strong communication skills and learn how to effectively collaborate within teams. Interns will participate in group projects and exercises designed to foster teamwork and clear communication.
- Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving: Engage in activities that enhance strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Interns will be introduced to basic strategic planning, scenario analysis, and decision-making processes.
- Basic Cybersecurity Awareness: Learn the fundamentals of cybersecurity, including common threats, basic security practices, and the importance of protecting digital assets. This knowledge will be foundational for those moving into more specialized cyber operations in future programs.
3. General Operations Training
- Introduction to Cyber Ops: Understand the basics of cybersecurity, digital forensics, and cyber intelligence. Interns will participate in introductory exercises that highlight the importance of cyber operations in protecting the agency’s digital infrastructure.
- Introduction to Dev Ops: Explore the role of software development and operations within the agency. Interns will learn about the software development lifecycle, the importance of collaboration between development and operations, and the basics of version control systems.
- Introduction to Hero Ops: Learn the basics of tactical operations and crisis management. Interns will be introduced to the principles of physical security, emergency response, and the importance of resilience in high-pressure situations.
- Introduction to Tech Ops: Gain a foundational understanding of the technological innovations that support the agency’s operations. Interns will be exposed to the basics of cyberware, CyberDecks, and other technologies that enhance operative capabilities.
- Introduction to Psi Ops and Med Ops: Get an overview of the specialized fields of psionic operations and medical support. Interns will learn about the unique roles these divisions play in intelligence gathering, psychological defense, and operative health and well-being.
4. Cross-Divisional Collaboration
- Inter-Division Projects: Participate in cross-divisional projects that require collaboration between different operational teams. These projects are designed to give interns a holistic understanding of how the agency operates as a cohesive unit.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Interns will be paired with mentors from different divisions, providing personalized guidance and insights into specific areas of interest. This mentorship helps interns identify potential specializations for future internships.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Collaboration Exercises: Engage in team-based exercises and projects that emphasize collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. Interns will work together to tackle simulated challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Skills Workshops: Participate in workshops focused on developing essential skills such as strategic thinking, cybersecurity basics, and effective communication. These workshops are led by experienced agency staff and provide hands-on learning opportunities.
- Division Rotations: Experience short rotations through different operational divisions to gain firsthand exposure to the various roles within the agency. These rotations help interns understand how each division contributes to the agency’s mission.
- Final Presentation: At the end of the internship, interns will present a summary of their learning and experiences to agency staff, highlighting their growth and readiness for more specialized training in future programs.
