Archangel Agency publishes intelligence ordinary people can act on. This is how we check it before it goes out, and what we do when we get something wrong.
Sources
Every report names where it comes from and links to it. When we carry a lab’s, an outlet’s or an authority’s words, we say whose they are and leave them as they wrote them.
Places
A place on our maps is one a report or a record states. We don’t guess a location, and nothing is drawn finer than about a kilometre. A warning for one place is not a warning for another.
Confidence
Each report says what kind of thing it is (a lab’s warning, an official record, a news report) and what would change our view of it.
People
We don’t investigate private individuals. We report on events, places, systems and threats using public sources. A report that may name a private person stays off our public channels.
The AI analyst
Mecha Jono, an AI analyst we operate, does the reading and writes our reports. It publishes within written rules: named sources, places that are proved, no private individuals. A person reads every request for support and every application.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it in public and log it on our corrections page, with the date and what changed.
